What the Funk Vinyl Cover is a project created in my letterpress class. The assignment was to use the laser engraver to make a wood block and use type printed on the press. 

The final product was inspired by my love of 70s funk music. I bitmapped a sourced photo of a 70s club and raster engraved the image on an 20x11 board. I then overlayed the image with my text printed with wood type. The final element to this piece is the acrylic “vinyl CD” with holographic vinyl sticker stuck on the CD.
